Softball

Softball at Central Church has become an incredible way to connect with fellow believers. We have a blast out on the field! We would love to have you be a part of one of our teams!

Men’s teams: We have our own league for the Men’s teams (Tuesday Nights). The first 60 players registered for the Men’s league are guaranteed a roster spot.

Please register by the end of the day on Friday August 12th, 2022 (8/12/2022). Of course SOONER would be better in order to guarantee your spot. Early registration will also help to get a headcount to register the right number of teams. We have to pay for all the teams by 8/15/22.

Age: Players must be at least 15 years old (under 18, you must have a waiver signed by a legal guardian).

Waiver: You must fill out a Central Church waiver before you can practice or play, unless you already have one on file from a prior season. Get the waiver below.

Payment: The cost is $40 per player per team. Your money helps to cover the league fee, balls, and shirts.

Practice: (NEW players MUST attend at least 1 practice)

9:00AM-10:30ish on Saturday, 8/13 in Allen at FORD Park (tentatively planned for Men’s practice)

9:00AM-10:30ish on Saturday, 8/20 in Allen at FORD Park (tentatively planned for Men’s practice)

Ford Park in Allen is near the intersection of Bethany Rd. and Jupiter Rd. at 705 Whiteman Dr, Allen, TX 75002

Our league plays on Tuesdays at 7:00PM, 8:00PM, or 9:00PM in Allen at Spirit Park.

Plan to be at the first game at least 15 minutes early to take care of shirts and forms.

The season will consist of (8) games per team and an end of the season single elimination tournament on the 9th week. for the top four seeds.

The first game of the season will be Tuesday August 30, 2022

GAMES: Spirit Park is just south of Sam Rayburn Tollway (Highway 121) between Alma Dr. and Stacy Rd. (1151 Ridgeview Dr. Allen, TX 75013)

PRACTICES: Ford Park - 705 Whitman Drive Allen, TX 75002

We have our own league, so we have our own rules to make it more fun.

· Batters start with a 1 ball and 1 strike count, but get a free foul.

· A team can bat up to 16 batters.

· Any player in the league can substitute on any other LCC team (wear your normal team shirt).

· Substitute runners allowed, if you don’t pass second.

· One intentional walk, per player per game.

· 3 Home runs per team - every home run after is a ground rule double.

· No base stealing.

Shirts: Please return shirts from the previous seasons to any coach.

Rosters: The men’s team coaches will draft teams no later than 8/28/2022. Rosters will be published after the draft.
